St Columba's Church of Scotland - Midvale Road, St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands
The group was very small in number for the super June Walk in super weather from Le Hurel Farm. We were led downhill on tracks and footpaths,  across a stream and some roads and then back up to the start. Brilliant. Thank you.

No decision made yet for the July walk......let us know if you have a favourite one you'd like to lead us on.

So now it is MAY and we were blessed with a fantastic day weather-wise! The walking was dry underfoot and the sun shone on us as we strolled along. Starting and finishing at Grosnez Castle we followed a grassy path near Les Landes racecourse before walking on quiet roads and field lanes. The views were terrific right across St Ouen's Bay to La Corbiere Lighthouse and I think we correctly identified the PaterNoster rocks visible from Grosnez Point. Thank you to Sam Blair for another great memory.

The April Walk was in St Peter....with lunch at the Vic in the Valley. Jon Osmont led us and we spotted 4 of 5 German bunkers from WW2. Very interesting...thanks Jon.

The March walk took place in less than ideal weather. It was led by Sam Blair around the lanes in Trinity and ended with a cuppa and cake!
Once more no camera so no pics.!  Sorry.

The April walk will be led by Jon Osmont....looking forward to it. Date to be finalised asap and will be published here.... Keep checking in.

There was a super walk this month on Tuesday 16th February to see the Manx Sheep, with Ewen. We also had an informative chat with the lady who was supervising the choughs .......the weather was perfect.

There was a walk in December 2015!

The photographer did not go and neither did the camera!
It was on the beach at St Ouen, pretty windy so sand blasting was the order of the day for the 5 two-legged and the three four-legged beings who enjoyed the challenge....... and the coffee at the end!

Next walk is going to be very interesting.
Keep checking back here or on Facebook for details!

In the meantime, "Happy Christmas!"

Church Walking Group
Tuesday 10th November met at 10am at Les Creux Bowling Club car park and walked and talked................

And laughed.....

And climbed

And made it back onto the tarmac!

The next walk will take place on a flatter surface .......on Tuesday 8th December 2015. More info to follow!

The intrepid five enjoyed  a leisurely stroll round the lanes of St Martin led by Alice Ferguson on Tuesday 6th October.
Keep coming back and you will find some pics that you may be able to use to plot our route!

We did walk under grey skies, and we got a bit damp but our spirits were high and the company was good.
See YOU next time?

The August Walk took place on
Tuesday 4 August

On Saturday 18 July 2015 we had a most enjoyable stroll, in perfect weather, round some beautiful lanes of St Lawrence.

We saw some cows but did not spot any squirrels. kamikaze or otherwise!
